2 YEAR OLDS
Her weight should be between 22-38 pounds and her height will be between 32-40 inches. She should now have almost a full set of teeth and can feed herself with spoon.
With the help of a rail, you child can now walk up and down stairs. With asistance, some children will learn to use toilet at this stage. Give your child a book, as by this age, she will enjoy simple stories and can turn the pages of a book on her own. Read aloud to children every day. Encourage toddlers to look at books with large pictures .
Ask her to point to her eyes, ears, or nose. Your 2 year old can now hum and may try to sing.Your child can also repeat words, so take care not to swear in front of your child!

You may need to thin about baby-proofing your house again. Two-year-olds are now taller and more skillful at opening doors.
Encourage toddlers to help you with simple chores like picking up toys or putting clothes in the laundry basket. And ask them to name things that you are using. Encourage verbal skills by giving simple directions like "Would you pick up the doll?"
Two-year-olds like to be independent, Using favorite words such as "Mine" and "No!"
It can be an emotional roller coaster with 2-year-olds, they can go from excitement to anger to laughter within moments. At this age, a great deal of time is spent exploring, pushing,and touching.
Two-year-olds bodies stretch out around now, and most will lose the potbellied look during this year of life. They are still growing fairly rapidly.
Toddlers are very attached to their parents and caregivers. Even though they like to explore their surroundings, they will still staying close to you as they need a base of support and trust.
Two-year-olds love to interact with other children.Sometimes, social interest and physical abilities collide and a hug becomes a tackle and a gentle pat becomes a whack. You need to teach your child how to express affection gently.
You will notice that your child acts shy around strangers. However with you they are very affectionate, giving you hugs and kisses. Your child will imitate her parents at this age and enjoys simple make-believe like talking on phone
Your child is easily frustrated and may have frequent tantrums, which are often a result of her inability to express herself . You may notice she shows aggressive behavior and the intent to hurt others and is destructive to objects around her when frustrated and angry.Two year olds can also be extremely demanding and show feelings of jealousy if they are not given enough attention. If your child is having a temper tantrum, don't yell or hit her,remain calm and speak in soothing tone,place your hand gently on your child's arm to calm them.
You child will insist on doing tasks without your help, for example brushing her hair and her teeth. She will not be able to sit still or play with a toy for more than a few minutes.
3 YEAR OLDS
Three-year-olds are full of wonder and spend a lot of time watching, observing, and imitating.They have very little memory for past events and often repeat activities or do and undo actions such as a puzzle.
By the age of three 75 % of your childs speech is now understandable,with your child completing 3-5 word sentences, although he may still stumble over words. Talk frequently with child; use short sentences, ask questions, and listen.Teach children to memorize first and last names.
Read with your child, as at this age he will enjoy repeating words and sounds and will be able to tell simple stories from pictures or books. Encourage your child to repeat a story and discuss the ideas and events. Read titles and point to important words on pages, packages, and street signs.
Play music to your child as at this age they enjoy singing tunes.Sing simple songs. Make simple rhythm instruments: wooden spoon, saucepan,rattles of dry beans in a box, etc. Encourage a variety of body movements and dance to music of many kinds.
A popular thing for three year olds to play with is clay or play dough as they can pounds, rolls, and squeezes it and it can provides hours of entertainment for your little one.
Your child can now identify common colors such as red, blue, yellow, green and can count to five, by now he should be able to say his age. You may find they are interested in features of animals that make them unique including the sounds they make.
Your child now weighs between 25-45 pounds and is in height between 34-43 inches . You may notice your child is now developing a taller, thinner, adult-like appearance and will now be developing a full set of baby teeth.
Your child will now sleep between10-12 hours at night and will sleep through most nights without wetting the bed. With help your child can use the toilet. Be patient with toileting. Many children (especially boys) will not be ready for toilet learning until after age 3. Accidents will happen for a while; be calm and avoid shaming a child.
Children at this age like to dress themeselves, with some help i.e buttons and zips. This is great as it encourages development of hand-eye coordination,providing large buttons to help them. They will also want to put their own shoes on, although you will need to tie the laces.
With help, they can also brush their teeth, wash their hands and feed themselves with a spoon and small fork. The are also interested in handling food and cooking procedures, so why not make some cupcakes together.
You may find that your child seeks the attention and approval of adults.They enjoy playing "house" and imitating adults. Children at this age like making others laugh and being silly. They now play with other children briefly, but still do not cooperate or share well.
